Dorset Advocacy approached us to redesign their website to better represent the impact their charity's work has on defending vulnerable people's rights across the county. The website needed to be forward looking, inspiring, flexible and easy-to-update as well as being more accessible and responsive to work on tablet and mobile. They had a strict budget but needed a professional and efficient website to attract further funders, volunteers and public donations.
We recommended that they would benefit from a re-brand so their logo was consistent with the aims of the new website. The new logo needed to better reflect the work that Dorset Advocacy do, and be more friendly, accessible and recognisable, as well as to work across a range of platforms; from exterior office signage and printed resources, to web and social media.
For the website we decided to adapt a Wordpress off-the-shelf template for the base coding in order to save considerable time and development costs, so that we could focus on the front-end artwork by implementing a fully bespoke home page design and styling up selected page elements in order to keep fully on-brand with the new logo. Statistics, testimonials, advocate and beneficiary stories and photos are interweaved throughout the site to illustrate the impact of their work through storytelling.
The new logo is simple but bold and recognisable, and conveys the collaborative and communicative work of Dorset Advocacy. Blue from the existing logo was refreshed to keep a solid, trustworthy feel, combined with a magenta pink to give a dynamic, forward looking edge. The website is easy-to-use, colourful, motivational and approachable, and has been very well received by their board of trustees and volunteers.
The website launched in August 2016 and we look forward to continuing to work with Dorset Advocacy to promote their life-enhancing work.

"From the first time I contacted Boo&Stu, they have been a delight to work with. Their proposal was incredibly thorough, very detailed, and we were invited to comment at every stage of its development. There was a wide range of services offered, each with a price attached, so we could customise the service that we needed and could afford. [They] instantly understood the ethos of our charity, and the aims of the work that we do. I think what I have enjoyed most, is that the message, design and feel of the website is paramount. We have not been bogged down with development issues, which are all taken care of 'behind the scenes'. We feel that we are in safe hands... Thanks B&S - this is a major milestone in our development as a charity."
