The BUAV had been running their 'Our Best Friends' charity campaign over the last few years to help end the use of cats and dogs in research here in the UK. They wanted a fresh new way to connect with their audience that was fun and engaging, so they asked us to create a 'make and do' cut out version of their Buddy the Beagle mascot.
The model had to be interesting enough to engage the audience but also simple enough to be made easily by children. The design was based on simple geometric shapes accompanied by clear instructions, numbered tabs and a photo of the completed model to ensure it was as easy as possible for anyone to construct.
The model concept was approved immediately. The artwork was then coloured, and branded according to the campaign guidelines. We supplied two versions, one complete, and one editable so it could be adapted for future themed campaigns. The client was thrilled with the results of the project and it has proved a very successful tool in engaging with their audience at events.
